Developed with antimicrobial efficacy and environmental safety in mind, Microbe Guard™ is the only water-based, non-leaching, and non-VOC antimicrobial available.

Water-Based

Microbe Guard's water-base means the only off-gas released upon surface bonding is H2O—no toxic gases, no VOCs, no heavy metals, no formaldehyde or phenol groups – just H2O. This translates into safe handling from manufacture to end-use and a clean, green mode of action once applied to a surface.

Non-Leaching

Unlike conventional antimicrobials that can leach toxic active ingredients into the surrounding environment, Microbe Guard™ does not leach or dissipate and its active ingredient has the (EPA’s lowest toxicity rating)*. Once bonded to the surface, Microbe Guard™ is there to stay – it will never release anything into the surrounding environment.

In addition, because Microbe Guard™ has a benign mode of action and does not actively leach or poison microbes for its mode of action, there is no risk of adaptive microorganisms or “superbugs”. In laboratory testing the Microbe Guard™ antimicrobial has never been shown to allow or cause microbial adaptation, resistance or mutation.
